Review: Build It & Lash It Mascara

Hey Everyone

As the name suggests this is a Review on a new mascara that i recently got free when purchasing a magazine (company mag)

First of all I'd like to say that (company magazine is £2 and can be found in most high street shops), I do not know where the mascara can be purchased as it did not say on the packaging or on the magazine (but the mag is still available)

The packaging

I'm not sure if this picture shows the packaging of this item off well, but let me explain what it is like.

It is an acrylic package with one side being 'clear' and the other side being 'black', the middle is a silver colour (as is shown in the picture).
In total the package is very sturdy, the black side looks a little cheap as the writing is fading quite a bit, the clear side looks VERY professional & quite expensive looking.
As you can see the packaging is quite long and quite bulky, fine for home use, not great for travelling with (especially if you have a small bag/purse for a night out)
This packaging does not put ME off this product whatsoever...

The Product & Brush

Company says: Build It (longer lash base coat) Step 1: Brush on metallic base coat for extra-volume lashes

My opinion: Well as you see & also as it says...the colour of this base coat is metallic (silver), this confused me as usually the primer/base coat is white, but hey you learn something new everyday.
The silver colour does not effect you at all as you will be applying the black coat over it.
I really like this as it makes my eyelashes look voluminous but not clumpy
It also seems to lengthen them too (but not as much as other mascaras that are made for lengthening does).

The brush is fantastic, Long, tapered at the end and it truly separates every single lash & leaves a nice non clumpy coat of  mascara...

Overall I am so happy with this particular side of the mascara because it does everything I would like a mascara to do :)

Company says: Lash it (extra-volume mascara) Step 2: add black top coat for luxuriant, longer-looking lashes

My Opinion: This is a fantastic mascara, the black is VERY BLACK...not dark grey/brown!!!
The formula is very soft, and leaves your eyelashes feeling smooth and like lashes rather than grains of rice (that other mascaras tend to do).
The mascara lasts and doesn't flake off over time although this is not a waterproof mascara (which i prefer) so be very careful :)
The brush is just like the other side of the mascara, very large, tapered, coats each lash perfectly with a nice non clumpy layer of mascara.

I am also very happy with this side of the mascara, I do not have any negative points apart from the cheap looking packaging.

As A Whole: I give this mascara a 4 out of 5,
The negative reasons for this is because of the bulky long packaging, and the fact that the black side is quite cheap looking,
The positive reasons are the formula/brush & product as a whole is FABULOUS...
I love this mascara and I would re-purchase If i knew where to get it from other than the company magazine.

disclaimer: All opinions are my own & i paid for this item with my own money, I am not getting paid to do this review!

My 'november' Glossy Box

All Items I received in my GlossyBox

-Arbonne FC5 Ultra Hydrating Hand Creme
-Dead Sea Spa Magik: Dead see bath salts
- ILLAMASQUA Freak Eau De Parfum
-Monu Revitalising Moisturiser
-nail rock designer nail wraps

nail rock designer nail wraps (Full size £6.65)

glossy box says: The new 'nail rock' design nail wrap range is designed to last up to 7days on nails and 8 weeks on the toes, They wont chip or stain the nail, require no drying time & deliver on trend style in just 15 minutes....
I say: Well Personally I can't give a good review about these as I have not tried them, but what i will say, is that i'm quite unhappy with the design because they seem very unwearable....As you can see the design is black & white stripes (which is why i havent worn them)...I think i'll leave them for a special occasion...like a halloween party lol!

Dead Sea Spa Magik: Dead Sea Bath Salts 250g (1kg/£5.50)

glossy box says: 2011 beauty awards winner, Fantastic for alleviating dry skin conditions as well as a natural exfoliant, Dead Sea Bath Salts remarkably improves skin texture

I say: These are right up my street, I was looking for something like this just the other day, I haven't used this particular one, but have used something like it before...I am really looking forward to using this one as the last one made my skin feel so soft & smooth...& it also felt great in the bottom of my bath too :)

Monu Revitalising Moisturiser 50ml
(50 ml/Full size £16.25)

glossybox says: A light, easily absorbed cream to revive and soften the skin, with soothing cucumber, elderflower and mallow extracts

I say: I am soooooo happy about this product, It smells gorgeous!!!, It's the full size!!! & It makes my ski
n feel ultra soft!!! thumbs up to this product!!!

ILLAMASQUA Freak Eau De Parfum 1.5ml (Full Size 75ml/£59.00)

Glossybox says: Celebrate the night with Freak, the dangerously exotic first fragrance from cult british beauty brand, Illamasqua

Top notes: black davanna, opium flower & belladonna
Heart notes: poison hamlock, datura, & queen of the night
Base notes: Frankincense, Oud & Myrhh

I say: The scent in my opinion is BEAUTIFUL!!!, it is a little strong but for a night out I think it's perfect!!!
I've been wearing on my wrist and have had a few compliments & questions as to what the perfume is, which is always a good sign, so I am very happy with this sample...

Arbonne FC5 Ultra Hydrating Hand Creme 15 ml(Full size £19.00/118ml)

Glossybox says: Soothing creme moisturises hands, leaving a healthy appearance and skin feeling smooth & refreshed, with fresh kiwi extracts...

I say:  As i was looking for another hand cream I am excited that i got this, what i don't like is that it smells very strong and i cant put my finger on what the actual smell is, glossy box says it has fresh kiwi extracts in this...I can't smell the Kiwi...The smell is not unpleasant but confusing...I have not seen many results from this cream apart from something in it is making my hands tingle & my hands feel VERY moisturised...i guess thats the point RIGHT???

Overall I am very happy with my glossybox this month, everything in the box i'll love to use apart from maybe the nail wraps but as i wanted to try these out anyway i'm not bothered about the design toooo much....I will still be able to wear it to somewhere special...

New Video Unboxing and Review of the 'Revlon 9426U Deluxe Illuminated Mirror'

As the name says, this video is of me unboxing and reviewing the 'Revlon Deluxe Illuminated Mirror'

This mirror is brilliant (well the mirror is) the lighting is a little rubbish but there's three settings (evening, office and daytime light) and in my opinion the evening is the best light, for everyday use this mirror is Brilliant even with the lighting, If you are using it for more professional use then I'd say the lighting is not good enough on its own, If you manage to work out other lighting then it will be perfect. My overall rating for this mirror is 4/5, My rating for the design (as stated in the video) is 5/5 as it has a chrome base and a gold tone mirror holder lol (in my vid if you did not understand it), the lighting, i have rated a 3/4 out of 5 because it is not bright enough and i prefer a strong daylight light for doing my makeup (if you look good in daylight, you look good in any light)
If you have any questions about this mirror, please comment below....

This is also MY review, nobody has sponsored me or paid me to do this review, this item was purchased by Me with my own money :)
